James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.  (NIV)

James tells us that pure religion in God's eyes is to look after the orphans and widows.  KCMI believes that this is not just a suggestion, but that it is a mandate that we must act upon.  It is our responsibility to care for the orphans and widows.  The Lord has blessed us to be a blessing to others.

It is this mandate of James 1:27 to look after the orphans and widows that we would ask you to consider partnering with us to meet the needs of those less fortunate.  Partnering is a coming together of two or more, when your gift comes together with the gift of others it allows for a greater advancement to the Kingdom of God.

You may not be able to personally feed and care for those less fortunate than yourself, but by partnering with us your financial contribution will be used to build homes for the homeless, feed the hungary and send children to school to break the bondage of poverty and destitution over their lives.

There is a Jewish covenant ceremony that takes place during the joining together of a man and woman at the wedding ceremony.  The covenant is called the Covenant of Salt.  When a bride and groom are pledged to be married to each other their familes give each of them a small pouch of salt.  The day of the wedding ceremony the the Rabbi takes the salt from the man and dumps in into an empty pouch that he has brought along with him.  The Rabbi then takes the pouch of salt from the woman and dumps it into the pouch he has just dumped the man's salt into.  He then mixes the salt together and shakes the bag up.  Then according to Matthew 19:6 "So they are no longer two, but one.  Therfore what God has joined together, let man not seperate."

When we partner together and pool our resources we come together as that newly married couple.  Your salt is joined with our salt and man can no longer seperate it.  You share with us as we go into the nations making disciples, feeding the hungary, clothing the naked and building homes for the homless.

Job understood this principle, he was a father to the fatherless, a comforter of mourners and he sought out the ones he did not even know and plucked them from the fangs of the wicked one.  In turn God created an open heaven of great favor over his life.  Take time to study the story of Job's open heaven and see how you to can have an open heaven in your life.  See Job 29.

We ask that you would prayerfully consider supporting KCMI.
